Kathmandu, 15 June: JSP Upendra Yadav faction has demanded an explanation from the ministers who joined the government from the party. All the ministers who joined the government on Sunday have been asked for clarification.
After joining the government without the party's decision, Chairman Upendra Yadav informed that he had asked for a seven-day explanation to move the process forward.
As the party has joined the government without any decision, the process will be taken forward on the basis of the party's constitution. Eleven members of the party have joined the government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. JSP has nine ministers and two ministers of state in the Oli government.
After President Thakur's party joined the Oli-led government, President Yadav and Federal Council President Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is trying to oust Prime Minister Oli's government. After Thakur's decision to join the government, the two factions of the JSP had taken action against each other's groups. However, after the Election Commission did not recognize the actions of both the parties and retained the former office bearers, Chairman Yadav again asked for clarification. Although the formal division of the JSP has not gained legitimacy, it has already been unofficially divided.
